Working principle:

The water curtain sprinkler is a spray device fixed in the water curtain system pipe, which is used to continuously spray water to form a water curtain, protect the surface threatened by fire and form a fire separation.

How to use:

The water curtain sprinklers should be evenly arranged according to the requirements of the designed water spraying strength, and no blank spots appear, so as to prevent the flame from passing through the protected parts. The spacing of the nozzles should not be less than 2.5 m, and meet the following requirements:

(1) When the water curtain is used for protection and cooling, the sprinklers are arranged in a single row, arranged above the fire shutter, fire curtain or other protected objects, and should ensure that the water flow is evenly sprayed to the protected objects.

(2) The water curtain sprinklers at the opening of the stage opening and the hole area greater than 3 m² should be arranged in double rows inside and outside the hole, and the distance between the adjacent two rows should not be less than 1 m. The distance between each row of sprinklers should be calculated and determined based on the flow rate of the water curtain sprinklers and the designed water spray intensity.

(3) Because of the process requirements, it is not possible to set up places or parts of fire partitions (such as underground railways, underground tunnels, workshops with cranes, etc.). It is necessary to form a water curtain fire belt to replace the fire partitions. Less than 6 m. When the water curtain sprinkler is used, the nozzle arrangement should not be less than 3 rows; when the open sprinkler is used, the nozzle arrangement should not be less than 2 rows.

(4) The cornice-type water curtain sprinkler is used to protect the upper plane (such as eaves and ceiling lights), and should be set about 200 mm below the top window or cornice plate. The caliber and quantity should be selected according to the distance between the eaves beams under the eaves.

(5) The window-type water curtain nozzle is used to protect the facade or slope (walls, windows, doors, fire shutters, etc.), and should be located 50 mm below the top of the window. The distance between the faces is related to the window width. The caliber of the window type water curtain sprinkler should be selected according to the height of the floor.

(6) The number of nozzles installed in each group of water curtain system should not exceed 72.

(7) Water curtain sprinklers of the same caliber should be installed on the same water distribution branch pipe, in order to facilitate construction, maintenance management and ensure uniform water spraying of the system.

Application :

The slit-type water curtain sprinkler is suitable to be installed at the stage entrance to separate the stage from the audience hall, or in the area of the open-air production device, to divide the open-air production device into several small areas, or to protect some individual buildings or equipment.

Rain shower nozzles are used to protect large openings, and use fire-proof water curtain belts, such as escalators and spiral staircases in public places such as shopping malls to pass through floor openings, or large openings due to process requirements. Parts (these parts are difficult to prevent the spread and expansion of the fire with a general water curtain nozzle).
